ICE shared his mugshot after confirming his detainment.

A former executive of Kanye West’s camp is reportedly in ICE custody right now, TMZ reports. Far-right media personality Milo Yiannopoulos reportedly found himself detained at an ICE detention center in Louisiana, though it’s unclear exactly why. Sources reportedly claim that he was detained at an airport.

ICE, in fact, announced his arrest on X today. Sharing his mugshot, they referred to him as “an illegal alien from the United Kingdom.”

“Yiannopoulos legally entered the country on May 14, 2019, through New York City, New York. He chose to overstay his welcome in violation of our nation’s laws,” the tweet reads. “Yiannopoulos was issued a final order of removal by an Immigration Judge on July 22, after failing to show up for his immigration hearing. He will remain in ICE custody pending removal.”

When working for Kanye, Yiannopoulos served as the chief of staff and contributed heavily to Ye’s political run as director of political operations for YE24. It’s unclear if they ended things on a bad note, but TMZ theorizes that his presence in Louisiana might have to do with the fact that Ye is performing at the New Orleans Super Dome tonight as part of his comeback tour.

Yiannopoulos ultimately severed ties with Kanye following the announcement of Yeezy Porn. The media personality said that he couldn’t be involved in the production of pornographic material because it is “an imminent danger to my life as a recovering addict and an unacceptable risk to my spiritual and physical health as a former homosexual." More recently, he was tied into the nitrous scandal involving Ye.

So far, there haven’t been any statements from Milo or his legal team, but we will keep you posted on any further updates surrounding his detainment.
