Supreme has officially unveiled its take on the Nike Air Max 2001 "Air Ecstasy." Three colorways release tomorrow, August 27th, followed by Supreme's Asia locations on August 29th, priced at $190.
The shoe pulls from a genuinely obscure corner of Nike's archive. It closely follows the Air Max 2000, an experimental runner from Nike's early-2000s Alpha Project era. Naming across that lineup got messy back then, with models like the Air Max 2000, Air Max 2001, and Air Ecstasy Plus all sharing similar Tuned Air setups and horizontal TPU overlays.
Supreme's version keeps that layered, technical look fully intact. Quilted mesh runs across the upper, joined by reflective detailing throughout. Oversized "SUPREME" branding gets worked directly into the heel's TPU structure, replacing the model's original horizontal striping with bold text instead.
Three colorways are dropping at once. Black, white and university blue, and a red, grey, and yellow pair completes out the lineup. Full-length Air Max cushioning stays intact underneath each build, keeping the shoe true to its running roots.

Supreme has built a reputation for finding Nike models most people forgot even existed. Past projects have touched everything from Air Darwins to Barkleys and Air Force 1s, but this one goes deeper than usual.

For longtime Nike heads, that history adds real weight to this release. For everyone else, the shoe essentially arrives feeling brand new, despite being pulled from a runner built 25 years ago.
With Supreme continuing to dig through Nike's back catalog, "Air Ecstasy" adds another unexpected chapter to a partnership that's rarely predictable.
