The Air Jordan 6 OG "Light Aqua" has a new 2027 release date after being pulled from the calendar, now arriving with Nike Air branding.

The Air Jordan 6 OG "Light Aqua" now has a new release date, landing June 18, 2027 for $215. It comes with Nike Air branding on the heel, a detail collectors always look for on OG looks.

Light Aqua covers most of the upper, giving the shoe a bright, Tiffany colored look. Black and silver step in for contrast throughout the build. Black covers the midsole, tongue, and heel spoiler, while silver hits smaller accents around the shoe.

A visible Air unit and translucent outsole round out the design. Both details have stayed consistent across Air Jordan 6 releases for decades. The style code is listed as JF7742-400 for anyone looking at this pair closely.

This pair was originally planned for Fall 2026 before getting pulled from the calendar. Now it's back on track, just pushed into Jordan Brand's Summer 2027 lineup instead.

The current images circulating are still speculative mockups rather than confirmed studio shots. Jordan Brand hasn't released official photos of the pair yet. That means small details like exact shading and placement could still shift before release.

Air Jordan 6 OG “Light Aqua”

The Air Jordan 6 first released back in 1991, the same year Michael Jordan won his first NBA Championship. That history makes the silhouette one of the most important in the entire Jordan line.

"Light Aqua" was originally built around the model's 35th anniversary in 2026. Even after getting delayed into 2027, it still carries that same milestone energy heading into its eventual release.

The colorway also lines up with a bigger year for AJ6 OG releases overall. Jordan Brand has reportedly lined up the return of "White Infrared," along with a first ever release of "Reverse Infrared." That pair was originally sampled back in 1999 but never made it to retail.

With 3 OG colorways now expected across this stretch, the Air Jordan 6 is getting a real moment. "Light Aqua" stands out as the boldest of the bunch, especially with Nike Air branding confirmed for the final build.
