Denzel Curry and Kenneth Blume (fka Kenny Beats) are running it back. Six years after their first installment UNLOCKED, the rapper-producer duo reunites for ii. Some fans also refer to this project as UNLOCKED II. It's a compact nine-track sequel built around the chemistry that made their first project hit. This time, they stripped things down even further, reportedly working with an SP-404, a cheap microphone and instinct rather than an overly polished studio setup. The result finds Denzel delivering straight heat on Blume’s production while getting more personal along the way. JPEGMAFIA, Westside Gunn and Yebba make up the album’s guest list, with Yebba appearing on the previously released “DIFFERENCE.” It’s a short project, but that seems intentional. Denzel and Blume are keeping the focus on bars, production and the creative chemistry between them.
