It led to an interesting answer from Meg, who said there is a lot of terrible music out right now. She attributes this to the fact that the internet has made it easier than ever for someone to become a star.

Meg isn't wrong about this. With the rise of TikTok and other discovery platforms, the most groundbreakingly awful songs can still move units. Unfortunately, for Meg, her haters got a hold of these comments and are now using them against her.
"Excuse us?! Meg…your music is TERRIBLE!! Nothing memorable," one person wrote in the comments section of The Neighborhood Talk. "I mean her homegirl Cardi b is apart of the demographic," said another. Various other comments echoed these sentiments, claiming that Meg is guilty of the phenomenon she's talking about.
It's hard to take these commenters seriously. Meg grinded to get where she is now. Sure, she has had some viral hits along the way, but most big artists do. Her dedicated fanbase proves that her success was earned.
