Dave East has never been shy about his inclination to lend his talents on cuts occupied by newcomers in the game. A few weeks ago, while hopping on a track with upstart SKZIY, the Harlem native made note of this propensity.
“I realize I’m in a position where I can get sh-t rocking with ni--as. A Lot of ni--as when I was coming up, they was closing doors, boxing that sh-t out,” Dave said. “I had to get my own sh-t poppin’. So, If I’m ever a position to f-ck with a ni--a that’s trying to build his shit up on his own […] I’m with it.”
Now, East returns with the same energy on King Shooter’s “Eye Witness” cut. The new track, produced by Turbo gets the visual treatment courtesy of director Benji Filmz as the two men vacillate between verses in the streets of New York. Catch it up top.
