Pharrell Speaks On "Blurred Lines" Ruling
Last week, a Los Angeles jury deemed Pharrell Williams and Robin Thicke guilty of copyright infringement for their 2013 single "Blurred Lines". The lawsuit was brought forth by the family of Marvin Gaye, whose 1977 hit "Got to Give It Up" was said to be plagiarized by "Blurred Lines". Pharrell and Thicke were ordered to pay a total of $7.3 million to the Marvin Gaye estate.
T.I. Announces "ATL" Sequel
Rappers' feature film debuts are rarely as successful as T.I.'s in ATL. The 2006 film, directed by prolific music video director Christopher Robinson, earned pretty good reviews, and a cult-like appreciation upon release. It paired the stylish camerawork of hip hop videos with a fair bit of heart, and in using the stories of Dallas Austin and Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins as source material, it made for an authentic coming-of-age story.
Gunshots Break Up T.I. & Jeezy Party In Charlotte
A party in which T.I., Jeezy, and Yo Gotti were scheduled to perform at in Charlotte wrapped up early when the sound of two gunshots created a panic among the club's packed crowd. Reports have been mixed over whether or not any of the rappers were actually on stage when the shots rang out, but the artists were reportedly rushed out of the venue following the incident.

Troy Ave Says He Has A 7-Figure Deal In The Works
Troy Ave is doing pretty well for himself as an independent artist, and while he's looking to maintain that level of creative control, he's looking for some type of major label backing as well. Speaking with HOT 97, Troy revealed that he's in the process of working out a joint-venture deal, which while he did not elaborate, we can assume would be earning a major label imprint for his indie label, BSB Records.
T.I. Thinks Iggy Azalea Will Win Best Rap Album At The Grammys
T.I. is one of the lucky rappers to have a couple of Grammys to his name, but he's still not convinced the awards are going to the right people. In an interview with HipHopDX, the Atlanta rapper spoke of the issues with the current Grammy system, as well as giving a prediction of who'll take the Rap Album of The Year Award.
