The Best Hip Hop Songs (On Spotify) Of September 2016
Earlier this year, HNHH launched a Spotify playlist called FIRE EMOJI: The Hottest Hip Hop Songs Right Now. The playlist is updated on a daily basis. It lives on Spotify and thus is inherently imperfect, because not all super-hot hip hop songs have been added to Spotify. Still, the playlist is generally representative of the best new releases in hip hop and R&B.

The special was so riveting that Action and Vice went ahead and filmed 10 more episodes of "Ancient Aliens with Action Bronson and Friends," which will drop on July 21st at 11pm exclusively on Viceland.

Kanye West Delivers 5-Word Acceptance Speech, Action Bronson Presents At Webby Awards
The 20th annual Webby Awards went down Monday night, and while, for the most part, they were honoring websites, there a couple of rap moments that night.First off, Action Bronson, host of the Munchies show, "Fuck That's Delicious," presented the Best Cultural Site award to his employers, VICE, cracking a few jokes in the process. He revealed that he missed a secret Prince performance at the last award show due to smoking weed with Michael Rappaport in Michael Jordan's dressing room, which definitely sounds like the kind of story Bronson bars are made of.

Action Bronson has been known to keep a fresh pair of kicks on his feet at all times, whether he's crowd surfing in Paris or housing some jerk chicken in Jamaica. Staff Picks Playlist (April 15)
This week definitely ended on a high note. The past two days alone we've been inundated with music, from Rae Sremmurd (who also announced a release date and tracklist for the highly anticipated SremmLife 2) to Skepta (another album announcement on deck here) to ASAP Ferg, 2 Chainz, Fabolous, vintage Nas, and that's just scratching the surface of yesterday's songs list-- need I go into today's, which includes a Kid Cudi x Mike WiLL Made It collab?
Behind The Beat: Statik Selektah
If you want to understand Statik Selektah in a nutshell, look no further than the first 20 seconds of his 2014 song “Carry On.” The first words you hear are sampled from AZ’s verse on Nas’ 1994 “Life’s a Bitch”: “Others such as myself are tryna carry on tradition.”

Stream Westside Gunn's "FLYGOD" Album
Westside Gunn has emerged as one of New York's most promising up-and-coming emcees. His cinematic soundscapes and eye for street-level detail have earned him comparisons to certain Wu-Tang members, but his imagination is all his own. And that's partly because he doesn't hail from one of the five boroughs, but, instead, from Buffalo, which Gunn paints as a fearsome (and freezing) place. Gunn now resides in Atlanta, and living in the industry hub has helped him make astute observations on the state of the rap game.
Action Bronson Hints "Blue Chips 7" Is Coming Soon
Last summer, Action Bronson first announced he'd be skipping installments 3 through 6 in the Blue Chips series and going straight to Blue Chips 7. Thankfully, Bronsolino has now given us an update on the tape's status.
10 Rappers Who Sound Like Other Rappers
As soon as the "If Young Metro don't trust you, I'ma shoot you" drop appeared in the middle of Kanye's MSG performance last week, an audible "Damn..." came from the crowd seated in the theater with me. 'A Ye and Future song?!', we all asked ourselves, struggling to calculate just how many flame emojis we'd have to use when describing the track to those who missed the listening session. That little soundbite was indeed Nayvadius Wilburn's voice, but the verse that followed was not, though it might not have been until after the show concluded that you realized it.

Hottest Album Covers Of 2015
The Golden Era of cover art likely ended with the rise of CDs. But even with the Golden Age of CDs behind us, cover art still plays a vital role in the listener's consumption of music. Along with the album title, it serves as a sort of opening salvo or prelude that sets the tone for the music itself, and it is often the last image that remains in the listener's mind. It is the face of the music. With that in mind, here our picks for the best cover art of 2015.
