Having been relatively quiet for the most part of 2017, Yelawolf returned from his musical hiatus back in June when he dropped off the new single "Row Your Boat” & announced a new comeback album called Trial By Fire.
“I took some much needed time for myself and I feel better than ever. My apologies to the fans for my absence ... and thank you for your continued support .. it means the world to me !! The new albums my favorite work yet and I hope you dig the new single,” Yelawolf shared earlier this Summer.
Since then, Yelawolf has teamed up with Travis Barker & Juicy J for a second single called “Punk,” before returning the scene a couple days and announcing Trial By Fire’s release date, October 27th. Looking to keep the promo rolling, the Alabama artist decides to come through today and share another song off the album with Kid Rock called “Get Mine,” which is produced DJ Klever and influenced by country and rock genres.
Sticking with his country-rock inspired sound, Yelawolf hops on this harmonica & guitar-driven production from DJ Klever and raps about “getting his” and his Southern lifestyle in the process. Highlighted by its rock-infused production & slick delivery, “Get Mine” is another strong addition to Yelawolf’s steady growing catalogue of hits. If you’re fan of the Alabama artist, then there’s a good chance you’ll appreciate this one.
Interesting note: Kid Rock has been an open supporter of Donald Trump over the past year or so, while Eminem (who Yelawolf is signed to under Shady Records) just went off on the President in this week's BET Hip Hop Award cypher and mentioned that any one who supports him can stay out of his circle. So with that said, I wonder how Em feels about this Kid Rock feature on Yelawolf’s upcoming album?
