"Your visa has expired," he says. "You owe me and my city an apology."
Trick Daddy has called Meek Mill out on Instagram, seemingly over some comments the MMG rapper made about Trick's hometown of Miami. It's been pointed out that Meek's interview Hot 97 interview with Ebro is what has inspired the outburst from Trick Daddy. In a clip shared on Twitter, Meek casually speaks of his influence on Miami rappers.
"I don't think you know. When you see people rolling their skullies up, when you see people with the diamond chains... everybody's wearing Cuban links, when you see people in Miami on the yachts now on Instagram -- that come from the influence of Meek Mill, the Dreamchasers, because they believe us." While his comments were meant to illustrate how his lifestyle has inspired a new generation of kids to stay away from the streets, Trick Daddy believes Meek was taking credit for Miami culture as well as reducing it to materialistic interests like yachts and chains.
"Miami n---as are not followers... Don't use my city or my n---as for character references," Trick says in a video addressed to Meek. "I will get out of character. Do not fuck with me. Dirt bikes, Cuban links, and Yachts? We cocaine cowboys, n---a."
The Miami rapper later brought up Meek's break-up with Nicki Minaj before warning him not to come back to Miami before explaining himself. "Ever since you lost your girl, you've been trippin'," he said. "As a matter of fact, your visa has expired... You owe me and my city an apology."
Meek Mill has since posted a photo on Instagram that may or may not be a response to Trick Daddy's comments. The caption reads "All that come wit the price of being great."
