Tory Lanez is a rapper that, while quiet (by some people's standards) over the last few months, has been building to big things on the horizon. He teased details about his new album with us in a recent interview and has been featured on the new banger from Busta Rhymes and Vbyz Kartel. Now, Lanez is being shown some love from another high-up member of hip-hop society, Curtis Jackson himself, 50 Cent. However, this may have been an impromptu sort of shout-out, with fans noticing before Lanez did, but once the word was out, the "LUV" artist couldn't contain his excitement.

First, some context. Fif shared a picture of himself on Instagram with the word "Starz" written on his forehead. The caption indicated that this was because the mogul apparently has three more TV shows coming to the eponymous network. His statement reads" "LOL yo this shit is unbelievable, I have 3 new shows coming on STARZ. BMF, Tomorrow Today, and I GOT AWAY. TICK, TICK 💣BOOM. #50centralbet." Although it might seem odd to use the hashtag of a show that will be airing on a network not called Starz in the same Instagram post, it's more impressive that Fif has so many irons in what seems to be a white-hot fire. As a result, there doesn't seem to be much to the rumors that he and Starz were on the oust after the rapper raged on social media about their attempts to "sabotage" Power, which he has a producer credit on. All told, 50 Cent is a man with a lot going on, but according to the picture, he isn't too swamped to give Tory Lanez a small shout-out in the process of making his announcement.

You'll notice 50 wearing a hoodie that says "The New Toronto" in a circular design on the front. This is of course the name of a 2015 mixtape that Lanez put out, a release that kickstarted what has been a meteoric rise to the top. HNHH readers were impressed with the tape at the time and, given the consistency in Lanez's output, has aged better than most works of this sort. The reaction to 50 Cent's wardrobe choice prompted Lanez to respond as well, with the kind of unabashed glee that should make even the most hardened hip-hop head chuckle. Check it out below.
