The Weeknd was in Toronto on Tuesday night (November 6), performing for Hxouse Live alongside Bryson Tiller, Nav, and The Neighbourhood. During Abel's performance, he announced that he is working on a new album. Entitled Chapter 6, details about the project are limited to only the title. The release date has a tentative “coming soon" attached to it, which could mean that The Weeknd drops it next week. It could also mean fans won't get the album for another year. "Being in Toronto these past two days, I haven't been this inspired in years," The Weekend admitted to a screaming audience before dropping the bombshell. "And I want you guys to be the first to know I'm working on my new album right now."

Able dropped My Dear Melancholy back in March, and hasn't promoted any new projects since then. 2018 was an interesting year for Abel. He stayed relevant on the charts through the success of the Black Panther album, and graced his day one fans with an EP that sounded like throwback Abel. The lustful singer took to Twitter to post a cryptic message hinting at the direction of Chapter 6. "Some chapters are smaller than others. not this next one though," he wrote. We're ready.
