News on the upcoming Tupac biopic has been up and down, but after a few false starts, it seems that the project is finally going forward, and with a notable director on board.
Benny Boom, the music video director behind iconic clips from 50 Cent, Niki Minaj, Nelly and more is now behind the project, which should guarantee a stylishly shot feature -- especially considering he's studied under greats like Director X and Hype Williams.
“I am blessed with the opportunity of a lifetime,” Boom wrote in his announcement on Instagram. “Telling the story of this revolutionary, artist, visionary, genius, soldier! I will make him proud and uphold the legacy.”
No word on when this is actually coming out, but we're excited nonetheless. Think it can top Straight Outta Compton?
