Just yesterday we posted on SZA's FADER cover story where the Ctrl singer said she never got the hype over her debut studio album, even though it rang in five nominations at the Grammy's, was loved by almost every major publication and topped so many Best Album lists for 2017.
“I didn’t even fuck with my own album, so I was so confused and almost, like, angry that everyone fucked with it so much,” she said. “It meant everything I felt about myself was wrong. And it was just like, If that’s not the truth, then what is the truth?”
She even told the publication that Donald Glover texted her after her Travis Scott assisted single, "Love Galore" blew up, asking her if she finally believed the hype, where she responded "I dunno."
Well, hopefully, SZA had gained some confidence since the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has announced that her 14-track project has just been certified platinum.
Even more, "Love Galore" and "The Weekend" are now double-Platinum and “Broken Clocks” and “Garden (Say It Like Dat)” are now certified Gold.
