Smokepurpp is the latest rapper to venture into the cannabis industry.

If you're only investing in the marijuana industry now, you're a little late to the party. Many states have been legalizing the recreational use of cannabis and all of Canada is now embracing the plant. With names like Snoop Dogg and 2 Chainz leading the charge, Smokepurpp has decided to get his feet wet, venturing into the marijuana business and launching his own line of "THC lean."

The news was announced on the artist's Instagram story as he labelled his new brand Purppavis as a healthy alternative to lean. The Floridian specifically referred to it as a tool that people can use to move away from codeine-based syrups, facilitating the quitting process. In fact, the THC syrup has helped him remain focused on his upcoming album Deadstar 2, which is nearing a possible release in December.

The new brand was launched as a collaboration with his manager. Purppavis will include both THC and CBD based syrups, soon venturing into new territories with pre-rolled joints, concentrates, topicals, edibles, and exclusive merchandise. For now, Purpp is focusing on the "THC lean" part of his offering.

He's issued a statement, saying, "My goal is to make Purppavis a lifestyle brand for marijuana lovers. 'THC Lean' is the first product because I wanted to create a positive alternative to actual lean. I know it ain’t healthy and I wanna use my platform to make a difference for myself and my supporters."

Products will be offered at dispensaries across the United States at the beginning of 2019. Would you be willing to give Purppavis a try?
