A few weeks back, Ski Mask the Slump God and A$AP Ferg hit the studio and dropped the Missy Elliot-sampled "ILoveYourAunt." While the song definitely deserves more attention that what it received, it definitely showed solid chemistry between the two rappers. The hype of the song made many people hope there would be more music from the two of them. Well seems like that wish has come to fruition. As he announced that he'd be dropping something with Ferg and Yachty earlier in the afternoon, he now unleashes the new banger "No Tilt" featuring both rappers.
All three rappers have very distinct ears for production however, they all found a middle ground with "No Tilt." The three rappers unite over a bass heavy, left-field TM88 beat while they talk their shit and flex their jewelry. Ski Mask sets the tone with the first verse before Ferg and Yachty come in to demolish their verses. As to be expected, it's definitely isn't anything serious. It's a fun song that will definitely have the trunk of your car rattling throughout the whole song. Although all three rappers are very different from each other, this song shows how well they mesh their styles together.
Ski Mask the Slump God teased the song in early August prior to dropping the Ferg collab. He tweeted out that he had some music with Yachty that was produced by TM88 so this is probably what they were talking about.
It's been a solid year for Ski Mask this year. He's been building the hype and clearly gaining the attention of some very prominent figures within hip hop. Back in June, he also released his anticipated project You Will Regret and also dropped the Members Only, Vol. 3 alongside his frequent collaborator XXXTENTACION, wifisfuneral, Craig Xen and Stain. We hope to hear more music from him in the future.
