Ski Mask The Slump God is fresh off the release of his latest project, Stokeley. The album served as his official follow-up to Beware The Book Of Eli which he released earlier this year. Although it faced a few setbacks, Ski Mask didn't disappoint with his latest project. The album featured appearances from Lil Baby, Juice WRLD, Lil Yachty, and Austin Lam. However, the project was actually supposed to feature a verse from the late XXXTENTACION.

Sitting down with Travis Mills on his Beats1 show, Ski Mask The Slump God explained that he was supposed to have a verse from XXXTENTACION on the album. He previously revealed to XXL that he was supposed to have Young Thug on the album as well. He explained to Travis Mills that he first connected with Thug after X's passing.

"Actually, me and Thug first linked up after Jahseh's death," he said. "So, we was mainly talking about that and how Thug really fucked with X and how he was already having a song prepared to make with him."

He further explained that the verse from X didn't end up coming through for his album, but the track could drop in the future.

"X was also supposed to be on there," he said. "Could be later things though, so it’s not for sure not happening so me and XXXTentacion could still have songs."
