Run The Jewels are the unlikely duo that infiltrated pop culture over the past few years. However, Killer Mike and El-P have been in hip hop since the 90's. Killer Mike being a part of Dungeon Family and having close affiliations with Outkast. El-P founded Definitive Jux label in 1999 and released his first vinyl in 1993 with Company Flow. Over time they took their contrasting backgrounds and joined forces in order to appeal to a whole new generation of hip hop heads. After dropping their debut album as Run The Jewels in 2013, they've been a critical success in hip hop and beyond. Today, Lorde revealed that RTJ will be one of the openers for her on her upcoming tour.

Lorde's "North American Dance Tour" is set to kick off in March 2018. She hit Twitter today to reveal the openers on the tour. Along with Run The Jewels, she'll also have Mitski & Tove Styrke joining her. While Lorde revealed the global dates for her tour, Run The Jewels will join her for a good chunk of them through America and Canada. The first dates they'll be joining her on is on March 1st in Milwaukee, Wisconsin before wrapping the tour up in Nashville, TN on April 15th. Aside from RTJ, she'll also be getting Khalid to join her on her on the European dates of her tour which kicks off today in Tilburg, Netherlands.

After dropping their third studio album in December of 2016, Run The Jewels have been living life on the road. This past summer, they played at a good chunk of the major festivals including Lollapalooza, Osheaga, Made In America and The Meadows Music and Art Festival, among others. On top of that, they joined Danny Brown and Russ as openers for Eminem at Glasgow Summer Sessions in Scotland. With such a big year that they've had so far, it looks like they're gearing up for a bigger 2018.
