Netflix grabs Quavo, Takeoff & DJ Durel to help promote "Narcos: Mexico."
Netflix's Narcos has undoubtedly been one of the most praised shows on the streaming platform over the past few years. The companion series, Narcos: Mexico is set to debut later this week and Netflix tapped "the biggest Narcos fans" they know to help promote it.
Migos are widely known for their adlibs and Netflix got Quavo, Takeoff and DJ Durel to provide ad-libs to scenes for Narcos: Mexico. In the short clip, the Migos members watch three guys speed around a house on dirtbikes while hitting "skrrt" and "eeerrr" adlibs. It only made sense that Migos were tapped for the promo considering one of the best songs off of Culture II was named after the television show. The song's music video also featured the trio acting as drug traffickers.
Netflix's Narcos: Mexico is set to debut this Friday, Nov. 16th. The show will explore the modern drug trade including the Guadalajara Cartel's rise in the 80's.
Migos' ad-libbing abilities were recently featured during last night's episode of James Corden's Carpool Karaoke. Corden had the ATL trio providing ad-libs to their own hits such as "Walk It Talk It" and "Bad & Boujee." Migos also gave Corden some necessary tips of dabbing, staying fly and also did a rendition of Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody." You could check that episode out right here.
