We first introduced you to DJ Mustard’s protege & 10 Summer’s signee Ella Mai way back in 2016 when she released the song “She Don’t,” off her debut EP Time, but it was only recently that Ella caught her big break in the industry with the success of her smash hit “Boo’d Up,” which is killing the charts right now. Being played all over the radio & already certified platinum, “Boo’d Up” just reached No. 1 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, making Ella Mai the first solo female artist to accomplish such a feat since Rihanna’s “Needed Me” back in 2016.

While the record continues to do numbers on the charts & airwaves, it just received a huge look from a couple of hip-hop’s biggest names, Nicki Minaj & Quavo, who just jumped on the official remix. Nicki had warned us a couple hours earlier that the remix was on its way, and alas here it is!

Available on iTunes, take a listen to the upgraded R&B remix and let us know what you think. You feeling the OG version more or you diggin' this remix?

Quotable Lyrics:

Ayo, lemme tell you why you so special
Hood nigga bang the .45 special
Fuckin' wit' him but we never tell the press, though
Dick game on, alakazam, presto
Still a Playboy Bunny on Hef though
So we gotta get the dollar like Creflo
He said that he want respect, I said, "That's dope"
But that goes both ways like DeJ Loaf
