Mac Miller shares the official trailer and release date for the project.

It's been a bit of a rough year for Mac Miller thus far. The rapper's dealt with some serious relationship issues after splitting with Ariana Grande. Within two weeks of the confirmed break-up, Ariana Grande had already moved on to SNL's Pete Davidson who she's now engaged to. In the middle of all of that, Mac Miller was involved in a horrendous drunk driving accident. Despite how shitty things might've been for him, the bright side is that he has a lot of material to talk about in his new music. Today, he announced that he's getting ready to drop a new album.

After dropping three new singles at the tail end of May, Mac Miller is getting ready to drop his next album in the next month. Mac has officially announced his new project, SWIMMING will drop on August 3rd. The rapper shared a trailer for the album along with a snippet of some forthcoming music that seems to partially address some of the issues he's been facing lately.

"My regrets looks just like texts I shouldn't send/ And I got neighbors that move like strangers/ We could be friends/ I just need a way out of my end," he sings in the snippet.

With everything he's dealt with over the past few months, it feels like SWIMMING could be his most personal project to date.
