Logic continues his run of singles, announcing the Marshmello-assisted "Everyday."
Logic has been on an unexpected tear as of late, dropping off two singles in "44 More" and "Overnight," with both receiving their fair share of critical acclaim. Unexpected, not because his talent has gone untapped, more so because he had not previously reported any upcoming drops. This time, Bobby Tarantino has let us know that he has another single releasing on Friday, collaborating with Marshmello on a track that will likely be more electronic than we're used to from him.
When you think of Logic, you usually think of bars. The rapper is one of the most lyrical cats out there, and this announcement could mean a departure from the sound that we've grown accustomed to from Logic. Marshmello has previously worked with Khalid and Lil Peep, creating two bangers that stuck to the featured artists' traditional sounds while getting a dancier push. We can possibly see a similar direction on "Everyday" with Logic spitting some fire over a future bass instrumental.
Logic's back-to-back-to-back releases could mean that a full-length mixtape or album is coming soon as the rapper appears to be grinding extra hard these days. After being announced as one of the headliners at the Soundset Festival, Logic appears to be going on a festival run this summer too, giving his fans something to look forward to.
