When Lil Wayne released Tha Carter V, the tracklist and guest features were still up in the air. We had no clue what to expect. As we all know now, we ended up with an album full of high-profile guests like Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, XXXTentacion, Nicki Minaj, and more. One of the most surprising features was from Nivea on "Dope New Gospel." It was rumored that Nivea would be on a song with Drake and Lil Wayne on the album, which she egged on during a podcast interview. Obviously, we know now that Drake wasn't featured on C5 at all but Nivea got her spot near the end of the project. However, she's saying that she has yet to be paid for her role.

During an interview with The Breakfast Club, Nivea spoke on her upcoming music as well as her relationships with The-Dream and Lil Wayne. She talked about her "Dope New Gospel" feature, revealing that she recorded the hook a while ago. "We did that song a year ago," said Nivea, "I wrote the hook and sent it back and he said 'I love it!'" She goes on to explain that she had no clue what was happening with the track until last month. Wayne reached out to her and told her she made it onto the album, which she was obviously excited for. When DJ Envy asked if she's gotten paid for her work though, she replied that he hasn't come through yet.

She may be waiting for that check but there doesn't appear to be any bad blood. She revealed that Weezy has never missed a child support payment so he should come through pretty soon.
