Jay Z Thanks Legends Of Hip-Hop For Inspiring Him

Jay Z takes to Twitter to thank the hip-hop legends before & after him for his inspiration.

In case you didn't hear, Jay Z is about to make history tonight when he becomes the first rapper ever inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Having already heard the likes of Andre 3000, Pharrell, Nicki Minaj & more voice their appreciation for Hov today, the Brooklyn icon decided to repay the favor Thursday night and pay his respects to the legends before & after him as inspiration for his success.

Taking to Twitter, which is very unusual for Hov, Jay went on thanking several of hip-hop greats for inspiring him, including the likes of Rakim KANE KRS chuck cube Jaz Em Andre Nas big PAC cole kendrick chance, and just about every other great. He even was brought out by former President Barack Obama too (see below).
