Jada Pinkett Smith hosted an event for the youth at UCLA’s James Bridges Theater in Los Angeles this past weekend. Smith is a professional in several arts, including music and acting. She spoke to a theater full of bright-eyed youth about how to take charge of the future. According to Billboard, Wale accompanied Smith in the panel discussion, and the DMV representer also had some words of advice for the kids. “A lot of people show you the money or the clothes," Wale stated. "They don’t show you how they get there. They don’t show you the race. They just show you the finish line and the trophy. Always remember there is a race. Always.” Smith shared the same sentiment. "You all get to see the glamorous side of Beyoncé, but she is the hardest working woman in this industry!” she said.
After the discussion, Smith spoke with Billboard about several topics within the entertainment industry. During the interview, Smith revealed that she and her daughter Willow are working on new music. When asked about her metal band Wicked Wisdom, Smith stated, "I actually have a song with Willow that we did together. It’s called “Dear Father” and we are still working on it." The proud mother boasted that her talented daughter has been dreaming about collaborating with Wicked Wisdom for a while now. "Willow has always wanted to do some stuff with me," she explained. "She grew up with Wicked Wisdom on tour so it’s always been her dream to play with the band and play with me on stage. It’s really fun. So we’re thinking about doing four songs or something."
