It's safe to say Young Thug & Future’s relationship has been a working process over the years. From dissing one another on tracks in 2015 to a couple twitter exchanges last year, Future & Thugger were not always a fan of each other. Hell just last February, when Future announced that he was dropping his EVOL mixtape on the same day as Thugger’s Im Up tape, Thugger clapped back by saying “boy slow down dropping all that BS music,” which caught Future’s attention who responded with “Yo bitch wish u was me…in real life.” Thugger didn’t like that one, and responded back with “yo family/team wish u was me lil nigga….” But thankfully all that BS is in the past now and the two superstars are on the same side. After connecting on records like "Relationship" & Chris Brown's "High End" recently, the two ATL superstars decided to come through today & release a new joint mixtape called Super Slimey which was announced just hours earlier on Thursday.
Looking to highlight one of the 13 new songs, here goes an early standout from the tape called “Patek Water,” featuring the lone appearance from Migos’ rapper & Cardi B boyfriend Offset. Going in over production from Southside, DY & Rex Kudo, the three ATLiens rep the luxurious watch company to the fullest and boast about their money & icy jewelry in the process. All three of these rappers kill their respective verses, but I personally think Offset might take the crown here for dopest rhymes, switching up his flow & showing off his triple-time rhyme scheme per usual.
