September is here and the disses are aplenty. It may not be October but the OVO leader, Drake, is ready to get people talking about him again. Eminem took the spotlight for a bit, and he'll rightfully be there for a minute, but as arguably the most talked about artist in the world, Drake is back at it again. This time, he's not hiding a kid from the world... he's going at Kanye West by dissing his Yeezy 350 sneakers in his upcoming song with French Montana.
We previously reported that the two were shooting a video together and HHNM managed to unearth some footage of the shoot, featuring some audio of the track. Other than the song sounding extraordinary hype, one lyric stood out to people. As the beat breaks, full emphasis is placed on Drake uttering, "I told her don't wear no 350's 'round me." Of course, Drake may simply just not like the silhouette of the sneaker or maybe this ties into the whole Nike vs. Adidas rivalry. However, it's more likely that this is an indirect shot at Kanye West. You may remember that many believed Yeezy to be the informant who told Pusha T about Drake's son, which led to the lethal "Story of Adidon." It seems Drake is rehashing that beef by going at Ye with a subtle shot here.
Of course, the snippet only includes a short portion of the track. Perhaps there includes an even bigger diss within the full song. We'll only find out when it drops, which is hopefully very soon.
