Desiigner wants to do his part during this COVID-19 pandemic, so he's giving his tenants a break.

We know him as the carefree artist who gave us the smash hit "Panda," but what many people aren't aware of is that Desiigner owns various properties. The rapper speaks often about his career, moving on from his deal with G.O.O.D. Music, and preparing for his next release as an independent artist, but earlier this month, Desiigner shared in an interview with Forbes that he's a landlord. During this COVID-19 pandemic, millions of people have been worried about how they would be able to pay their rent, and Desiigner shared that he's waived rent payments during this time.

"So I have to look at all areas of my life and do my part — artists play lots of different roles in communities," Desiigner said. "For example with housing… I’m a landlord with multiple properties. And some people can’t afford rent right now and I have to hold that. How are you going to be able to live for the next couple months? You gotta take it easy on your tenants, be understanding of what’s possible right now. I have to take the hits because I also don’t want to see anybody on the street. I can help so I do."

Desiigner also added that there are a handful of other artists he admires for how they've given back to the public including Megan Thee Stallion, Diddy, and YG
