Beanie Sigel, Nas, and Styles P also make the cut.

It's not out of the ordinary for a rapper to be asked about their "Top 5," a shorthand for "Top 5 Emcees Of All Time," but there's been much less discussion over the greatest songs written in the genre. In an interview hosted on Mass Appeal, Dave East offered some thoughts on his favorite rap songs of all time. However, he had a bit of trouble narrowing it down, after the first two, he threw in an entire album.

"I'll start with bro, with Nas 'I Gave You Power.'

"Beanie Sigel, 'Look At Me Now.'"

"Styles P, probably, his whole A Gangster & A Gentleman album, I can't even pick a song."

He actually never got to 5, but he did have some additional commentary on his fourth pick, Eminem's "Stan."

"'Stan,' that's always been top five to me," he said. "The vulnerable... how vulnerable he was with a fan. You don't even have to go through that shit personally with fans or whatever, but you can understand someone being that in love with you or that into you. So, 'Stan' is wicked."

Dave East released his Karma 2 project, featuring Lil Durk, Fabolous, and Trouble, in July. You can stream the project here.
