Cardi B has some fun with the Snapchat "Finesse" filter.

Snapchat recently took a series of major losses when its value fell nearly $800 million after Rihanna denounced the social media giant for a third-party interactive ad for the Would You Rather? mobile app that made light of domestic violence when it asked users if they would rather “slap Rihanna” or “punch Chris Brown,” alluding to Brown’s 2009 assault of then-girlfriend RiRi.

"All the women, children, and men that have been victims of DV in the past and especially the ones who haven't made it out yet...You let us down!" Rihanna penned in a post on her Instagram stories. "Shame on you. Throw the whole app-oligy away."

Her condemnation of the app naturally led to a mass deleting of user accounts that saw yet another blunder in the Snap Inc. saga that kicked off with the ill-received interface update. But, it looks like there may be hope yet for Snapchat, which has since apologized for the mistake that allowed the advertisement to get approved, as Cardi B hasn’t quite logged off yet, taking to her Instagram most recently to post a video of herself vibing out to a new 90s-themed filter, featuring her Bruno Mars-collab “Finesse.”

Why this Snapchat filter so poppin tho,” Cardi penned in a caption as she bobbed her head in the comical fashion that we first got to see at this year’s NBA All-Star game.

An IG following of over 20 million could prove to add a bit of boost to Snapchat use as some rush to take advantage of the filter themselves, but could it save Snapchat from this slippery slope? We’ll venture out on a limb to say ‘no.’
