He's already shown that Drake gave him an iced-out chain, but now Akademiks has shared the moment he received the jewelry.

As the hype surrounding Drake's triple-album dump quietly fades, DJ Akademiks is keeping the fire burning by sharing more unseen footage from his meetup with the rapper. Over the past week, Akademiks has taken to his platforms to share details regarding meeting Drizzy for the first time. Over the years, as Drake's friends and industry acquaintances abandoned him during the thick of his Kendrick Lamar takedown, people like Ak have stayed solid, showing their unwavering loyalty.

We've already seen the photo of Drake presenting Akademiks with his official iced-out, owl OVO chain. Now, the podcaster returns with more footage of the moment he received the coveted jewelry.

In the clip, the Toronto icon is sitting across from Ak at a restaurant. Unsurprisingly, Akademiks is shocked to see the gift. "It's not real, is it?" he asks. "It's legit? For me?" Drake shyly answers, "Overdue." To be fair, the rapper isn't lying. Akademiks has held him down against backlash and global mockery, often targeting Lamar and anyone else in the industry who dared to stand against the 6 God.

Moreover, Akademiks also previously detailed his experience visiting Toronto. Apparently, Drake sent his private jet to fly him to Canada, then rolled out the red-carpet treatment to ensure Ak had the best visit ever. Akademiks was so smitten with the ordeal that, while they were in the car, he said the stoplights all turned green as if Drake had run the city, further emphasizing the "mob boss" mentality surrounding the rapper and Toronto.
