Happy birthday to the "Man Of The Year."

Today, TDE's ScHoolboy Q turns 31, and we at HNHH would like to wish him a happy birthday. Since he first dropped Setbacks in 2011, Q has been one of the more underrated rappers in the game, despite the fact that his four-album catalog makes up a respectable discography. Boasting a rugged charisma, hilarious sense of humor, and visionary approach to songwriting, Q has proven that he can, and will, evolve with every album. While many are quick to praise label-mate Kendrick Lamar for his experimental song structures and hyper-thematic lyrical content, Q has been coming through on the same level, as evidenced by the dense odyssey of title track "Oxymoron," or the visual narrative of "By Any Means."

Still, it seems as if ScHoolboy Q is never held to the standard that he deserves; although he has amassed a loyal fanbase, it feels as though something is keeping him from being mentioned in the same breadth as the "greats." Still, ScHoolboy is one of the few voices delivering modern day West coast "gangsta rap", and his no-holds-barred brand of brash honesty makes for some of hip-hop's most compelling narratives. Plus, his social media game is on point, particularly his Snapchat. If you aren't following ScHoolboy, stop what you're doing and make it happen.

While ScHoolboy is no doubt feeling the birthday love, us fans are patiently waiting for his fifth studio album. He's been teasing it for a while, recently claiming it's ninety percent complete, but as of now, we have yet to receive a release date. In the meantime however, I encourage you to vote for your favorite ScHoolboy Q album, and pay respect to one of the game's most underrated.

Also, be sure to sound off in the comments with your favorite ScHoolboy track. Once again, happy birthday ScHoolboy! From the look of Zacari's recent tweet, it would appear that Q certainly partied to the extent of his physical capabilities.
