It has been confirmed that Donald Trump's attorney did indeed pay upwards of 130K in hush money to porn actress Stormy Daniels to cover up the president's extramarital affair. The crazy part is, the lawyer did so completely out of pocket. He shared these details:
“Neither the Trump Organization nor the Trump campaign was a party to the transaction with Ms. Clifford, and neither reimbursed me for the payment, either directly or indirectly,” Mr. Cohen said in a statement to The New York Times. “The payment to Ms. Clifford was lawful, and was not a campaign contribution or a campaign expenditure by anyone.”
The details of said payout are wrinkled by the fact that Stormy has possibly spoken out of turn if she did indeed sign a pact. Outside of general rule, these agreements don't always pass inspection & some high profile will go around the world and back to keep a client content.
The attorney's admission won't really alter public perception on the issue. In fact, laziness and promiscuity have long been associated with the chief of staff position. Trump has up to now, denied having the affair altogether.
