Issa Rae said pineapple had to be removed from the special mix.

For all you devoted to Issa Rae and her HBO series Insecure that chronicles the dating, career and overall life of a young black woman, the star of the show (and creator) has recently briefed fans of THAT scene in season two, episode six.

During Issa's visit to Vulture Festival in Los Angeles, she hit up the Wine Down segment to talk the scene where her on-again, off-again man friend Daniel ejaculated in her eye. That particular scenario could not have aired on HBO a few years ago by television standards. Another series by the network, Girls, tried to add an ejaculation segment to its show, but it was rejected. But in Issa's case and timing the network gave it a green light.

"When we met with HBO, we mentioned a cum-shot scene and they said, 'You’re just in time! We couldn’t do that with Girls but now we can! Cum for everybody!'" Rae said, via Vulture.

The actual "cum" was a popular alcohol mix. “It was a piña colada — there’s pineapple in that, and coconut, right?” Rae said, adding that the pineapple had to be taken out since she's allergic. “It was good!”

As we previously reported, Issa is working on another series with HBO that centres around a black family living in Los Angeles in the 1990s. Husband and wife Sheryl and Jackson will be the focus as they deal with life in the Reagan Era and early Clinton years. Issa is set to executive produce. The show is untitled at this time and The Turner House author Angela Flournoy will be Issa's leading lady to help bring the show to life.

“I’m so thrilled to be working with Angela,” Issa said. “I was a huge fan of The Turner House and we feel so lucky to bring her beautiful storytelling to HBO,”
