Nicki was spotted for the first time in a while at Beyoncé and Jay-Z's Academy Awards after-party.

After having disappeared from the public eye for several months, Nicki Minaj made an uncommon appearance in public post-Oscars. The rapper was photographed outside of the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, making her way to Beyoncé and Jay-Z's after-party. Nicki has not posted on her Instagram page since late December, taking an unexpected hiatus from the medium and disabling the comment feature. While it is possible that Nicki is just taking a well-deserved break from the spotlight, we know that she is currently working on an upcoming album, which could be the reason for her scarce appearances.

Her ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuels has been chasing clout for a few weeks, riding off the thirst wave following the leak of his nude photos. Nicki was quiet throughout the drama, and maintains her silence to this day, waving to the cameras, smiling and walking off. Seeing her out in public is a nice surprise as it was unusual to not hear from her for so long. The "Anaconda" rapper has been mum regarding her upcoming studio release and, while Azealia Banks may think it to be a good idea to plan around fellow star Cardi B's debut, there is no official release date for The Pinkprint's follow-up.

Hopefully, we see Nicki return to her social media soon and divulge some details about her next project. We'll try to be patient for more information regarding her fourth solo album, but we hope it comes soon.
