Are Drake and Lil Wayne teaming up for a new banger?

It's been a minute since we've heard some new music from Drake and Lil Wayne, but it seems that we won't have to wait much longer. The mentor and protege have previously amassed quite a track record, with hits like "The Motto," "HYFR," "She Will," "Miss Me," "Forever," and more. And while it's clearly all love between Weezy and Drake, Lil Wayne was ultimately absent from Nothing Was The Same, Views and More Life. True, the pair recently performed at Art Basel last week, but it's still been quiet on the musical tip. The two have a proven track record for bangers, so there's plenty to be excited about from a recent Drake Instagram post.

In case you missed it, Lil Wayne announced that the sixth installment of his Dedication mixtape series would be dropping on December 25th, Christmas Day. Now, Drake has shared a picture on his IG feed featuring himself and Weezy, along with the caption "D6." In a world where every caption is scrutinized for all possible meanings, there is one likely conclusion: Drake and Lil Wayne will be once again linking up for a collaboration on Dedication 6.

This is exciting news, especially considering their collaborative spirit seems to have waned of late. The last time Drake and Lil Wayne linked up for a track was Nicki Minaj's "No Frauds," but fans have been clamoring for a spiritual successor of "The Motto" for years. Perhaps a Christmas miracle will be in order. Still, it should be cautioned that this could all be smoke and mirrors, and Drake is merely hyping his mentor's upcoming release. Still, Drake is a smart man, and he knows that everything he posts will be open for interpretation. Still, remain cautiously optimistic that Young Money will soon ride again.
