"The type of shit you can only dream of."

The success of Cardi B's "Bodak Yellow" has been a true joy to watch as a hip-hop fan. Gradually climbing the charts over the last few weeks, the single hit its peak at No. 2 on the Hot 100 last week, surpassing Luis Fonsi's "Despacito" and sitting just beneath Taylor Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do." Just as importantly, the insanely popular song earned a rare and important cosign from none other than Janet Jackson.

Jackson used the braggy anthem in a recent performance, giving her sign of approval by incorporating it into a choreographed dance routine.

Responding to a clip of the performance on Twitter, Cardi was humbled by the legendary musician's use of her song. "The type of shit you can only dream of," she wrote. "Have to thank the Queen Janet Jackson for showing BODAKYELLOW LOVE !!"

With the next week of chart placements soon to be announced, fans are eager to see if Cardi can dethrone Taylor at the top of the Hot 100. "Bodak Yellow" is highest charting single by a female rapper since Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda" in 2014. If she is to reach the No. 1 spot, it will be the highest charting single from a female rapper since Iggy Azalea's "Fancy."

The last rap song to hit No. 1 on the Hot 100 was Kendrick Lamar's "Humble," in May. In January, both Rae Sremmurd's "Black Beatles" and Migos' "Bad and Boujee" hit the top spot. Cardi is currently dating Offset of Migos, so "Bodak Yellow" going number one would give the couple some serious bragging rights. In a recent interview on The Breakfast Club, Cardi revealed that they are not all that competitive when it comes t music. "I think he would want me to win, to be honest with you," she said. Cardi and Offset are set to collaborate on Migos' upcoming album Culture 2, according to a recent comment from Quavo, who instructed fans: "just wait on it."
