The couple are giving love another go!

Over the years, Tamar Braxton has tried her hand at love. She was with Darrell Allamby from 2000 to 2003, Vincent Herbert from 2003 to 2017, and David Adefeso from 2018 to 2020. Although all three relationships fizzled out with time, Braxton chose to open her heart again and take a chance with love. In 2023, her decision paid off, as she met the man who could be her one true love, Jeremy “JR” Robinson.

While their story is pretty short right now and still unraveling, it is undoubtedly an interesting one. They met unconventionally but just might spend the rest of their lives together. Already, they have experienced bumps in their journey as a couple, but fans and audiences are rooting for them. Here’s a timeline of the R&B songstress Tamar Braxton and Jeremy “JR” Robinson’s relationship so far.

Late 2022: Tamar Braxton & Jeremy Robinson Meet

In 2023, Tamar Braxton, alongside Evelyn Lozada and Nivea, starred in leading roles on Peacock’s reality TV show, Queens Court. The show was created with the intention to help these high-profile Queens find their Kings, and offered them several prospects. Altogether, 21 prospective suitors were introduced throughout the show, and Jeremy Robinson was one of those men. Before the episodes aired in 2023, principal photography was done between August and September 2022. It was while filming that Braxton and Robinson met for the first time.

Although dating reality shows have a bad reputation for initiating short-lived relationships, Braxton was determined to find love. She allowed herself to open her heart and be vulnerable, and Robinson wormed his way in over the course of the show. Fans were oblivious to the budding romance between the two until the first episode of Queens Court aired in March 2023.

March 2023: Tamar Braxton & Jeremy Robinson’s Engagement Goes Public

During the season finale of Queens Court that aired on March 16, 2023, Robinson asked Braxton the big question. “I don’t want to be your friend. I want to be your husband,” the lawyer told Braxton as he dropped to one knee. Continuing, he said to her, “Tamar, I’m here forever because I don’t see my life without you. I love you, Tamar.” Finally, he asked, “Tamar, will you marry me?”

In tears, and not believing her eyes, the “Love and War” singer asked Robinson if he was sure, to which he replied, “Absolutely sure.” Finally convinced, the singer nodded and said “yes” to his proposal. Although the attorney has five kids from four different women, Tamar Braxton didn’t mind. After all, she was a mother herself and had past romances of her own. The two left the set of Queens Court as a doting pair, engaged to be married.

October 2023: The Engagement Is Called Off

Several months passed after their engagement was televised as fans hoped to hear news of a wedding. Surprisingly, what came instead was the opposite. On October 2, 2023, via his Instagram story, Robinson shared that he and Tamar Braxton had called off their engagement. “Yes, Tamar and I are no longer together. I ended the relationship to focus on getting back to positive energy and being a better person,” he wrote. As for the reason for their separation, Robinson wrote, “What happened and why - that’s our private place.”

December 2023: The Couple Gets Back Together

In another surprising turn of events, two months after calling it quits, the pair rekindled the flame of their relationship. On December 4, 2023, Robinson shared a post on Instagram featuring photos of himself and Tamar Braxton together. The photos were accompanied by a lengthy caption in which he admitted to being hurt before and needing time to heal. While he apologized to anyone he hurt during his healing process, he also wrote that in that period, he realized that he “couldn’t possibly be with anyone else.” In conclusion, Robinson wrote, “I’m committed to loving this woman forever, and I appreciate all the love and support that have come from our family, friends, and supporters!”
