Last year, 50 Cent announced his plans to develop a TV show based on Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory, his brother Terry Flenory, and the Black Mafia Family, a drug trafficking organization founded by the two brothers in the late 1980s.

The Black Mafia Family turned to the music industry later on in an effort to run a legitimate business with BMF Entertainment. The two brothers were later charged and convicted for their criminal activities under the Continuing Criminal Enterprise statute.

Currently serving a 30-year prison sentence, Big Meech wrote a letter to 50 last year, lending his blessings to the rapper and actor’s plans, signalling a key step in the development of the project.

Saturday, 50 Cent delivered an update on the series after publishing a video of a car with a few bricks stashed beneath the seats with the caption reading, “BMF series COMING SOON, you think you know, you have no idea. BIG MEECH.”
