Drake called Rick Ross his "twin" after a fan confused him for the Toronto rapper.

Drake referred to Rick Ross as his identical twin in a post on Instagram, Sunday. The 47-year-old rapper had shared a video in which a fan in Jamaica mistook him for Drake. “@champagnepapi they need you in Jamaica," Ross captioned the video.

In the clip, Ross asks the fan who he is, to which they reply, "Drake." “Incorrect,” Ross replied before letting them he’s “the big belly rude boy, true ting dis.” Drake shared the clip on his IG Story writing, “At least they know we identical twins @richforever.”

Ross was in the country to perform at the Sandz Caribbean Music Festival over the weekend. Ahead of the performance, he expressed his excitement to be in Jamaica during a press conference. "I just want to absorb that real Jamaican vibe you know. I let everybody know as soon as I land, I want to go by the best fish spot," Ross said. He added: I told them the next day I want to go ride water rafting, I want some real curry chicken and oxtails. I want live to life. We only have one life."

Drake and Ross have collaborated numerous times over the years, including on the singles, “Aston Martin Music,” “Stay Schemin,” “Lord Knows,” “Gold Roses,” “Diced Pineapples” and “Money in the Grave,” among others. Back in 2021, following their “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” collaboration, Ross even mentioned working on a collaborative project together. “Well, me and Drizzy, we may have spoken within the last 48 hours,” Ross told Complex. “But it’s only so much I can say other than this is the closest or the realest he’s ever been. He’s wrapping up his project and I’m in the same space.”

While he hasn't teamed up with Ross for a while now, Drake seems to be gearing up to release more new music soon. He recently dropped off the single, "Search & Rescue,” on which he samples Kim Kardashian talking about relationship troubles with Kanye West. “I didn’t come this far, just to come this far and not be happy, remember that,” she says in the audio clip, which is taken from the 2021 season finale of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
