Lil Pump Celebrates His Glow Up While Sharing Throwback Photos

Lil Pump is one of the most unique figures in modern hip hop. The Miami native first hit it big in 2017 when he released the song "Gucci Gang." Subsequently, many detractors came out of the woodwork to slam the song and the artist. Derided as the face of "mumble rap," Pump has faced a fair bit of criticism over the years. However, the "Splurgin" rapper has also amassed a vocal and loyal fan base. Pump recently shared four photos of himself at various stages of his life to document his glow up over the years.

Pump posted the pictures to his Instagram. Firstly, the photo set shows Pump as a young child. The second image shows Pump as a clean cut teenager with braces. However. the last two pictures show a major transition in Pump's look. Now sporting locs, one photo shows Pump just after he hit it big in the industry. Finally, the now ripped hitmaker showed off his abs and tattoos in a present day photo. Pump has certainly improved in terms of fitness. Moreover, the Miami native is clearly happy with the change he's made over the years. He captioned the post with "The Glo up is real."

Lil Pump Shares Rare Glimpse Into His Younger Years

Whereas many artists have well known backstories, little is known about Pump's early life. However, he did state that his parents came to the United States from Colombia during an interview with J Cole. The mystery around Pump's early years seems to be part of his charm. Pump has stated that he attended the prestigious Harvard University. Pump's fans often cite this claim as a fact. However, internet detectives have been unable to verify if he actually attended the school.

Regardless of his backstory, Pump has certainly made an impact on the game. Furthermore, the 22-year-old is still putting out music. Just last month, Pump released his new album Lil Pump 2. The 16-track project features the kind of high energy trap music you would expect from Pump. Additionally, the album features collaborations with industry heavyweights like NBA YoungBoy and Ty Dolla $ign. We will see if Pump's style changes again as he progresses in his life and career.
