New couple Avril Lavigne and Tyga were recently out on the town as reports came in that fans of Lavigne's ex, Mod Sun, started chanting "F**k Tyga" at his latest show. The two were spotted leaving Catch Steak in West Hollywood in matching black outfits on Thursday night (March 16). Moreover, the split between Lavigne and Sun was sudden, a bit shocking, and immediately followed by other dating rumors. After much deliberation, Tyga and Avril confirmed their romance with a kiss during Paris Fashion Week. Unfortunately for Sun, he was the most shocked by everything going on. In fact, his team expressed that he was blindsided by rumors of a romance between Lavigne and someone else.

"They were together and engaged as of three days ago when Mod left for tour so if anything has changed that’s news to him,” they shared. “Mod will be performing tonight in Portland at The Hawthorne Theater." Later, the 36-year-old shared some thoughts on Instagram. "In 1 week my entire life completely changed…I just know there’s a plan for it all,” he wrote. “I’ll keep my head up + always listen to my heart, even when it feels broken [broken heart emoji]. Being surrounded by love every night on tour has been an absolute blessing. I have the best friends in the entire world, thanks for always having my back. See you on stage."

What's more is that, at his recent New York City show, Mod Sun faced these developments publicly for the first time. Rapper Travis McCoy gave a speech praising Sun and ended it with "F**k Tyga," which prompted the crowd to join. Meanwhile, many updates and status assessments about the relationship have only come from outside sources. While insiders and people close to the relationship are quick to talk, the couple themselves haven't revealed much beyond going Instagram official. Still, reports indicate that they're taking this seriously and isn't a publicity stunt.

"Avril and Tyga never imagined a romance would happen and this was totally unexpected,” a source told Us Weekly. “They have no idea where things are going but they’re enjoying spending time together. They have great chemistry.” While they said the rapper and the singer were “strictly platonic up until recently... since they had already built a foundation of friendship, it was an organic transition to something more." Hopefully both parties can reconcile with past relationships in peace. Regardless, stick around on HNHH for more pop culture gossip and the latest from your favorite (or most shocking) celebrity couples.
