Avril Lavigne linked up with Tyga at the Courrèges show during Paris Fashion Week on Wednesday. The meet-up comes amid rumors that the two have begun dating following Lavigne's recent split from Mod Sun. The two singers made their split official last week, which came as a shock to Mod Sun.
Despite being seen with Tyga on multiple occasions now, A source for PEOPLE says that they are just friends: “Avril and Tyga are genuinely friends and nothing more. There was absolutely no third party involved in the split.”

Reflecting on their breakup on Instagram, Tuesday, Mod Sun tried to remain optimistic. “In 1 week my entire life completely changed…I just know there’s a plan for it all," he said. "I’ll keep my head up + always listen to my heart, even when it feels broken [broken heart emoji]. Being surrounded by love every night on tour has been an absolute blessing. I have the best friends in the entire world, thanks for always having my back. See you on stage.” When reports began to surface about their breakup, a representative for the singer said in a statement: “They were together and engaged as of 3 days ago when he left for tour so if anything has changed that’s news to him.”
Mod had recently included a track titled “Avril’s Song" about his love for Lavigne on his latest album, God Save the Teen. "She blew me a kiss, And I didn't wanna blow my brains out anymore," he sings. "And she is everything I'm not. Without her, I am lost." The two also collaborated on the track “Shelter.” Lavigne and Mod Sun got engaged in 2022 while in Paris. Mod Sun spoke about their relationship during a recent interivew with E! News. “I have found such a partner in this world to go through the chaos that life gives you,” he told the outlet, before adding, “I have found that person. I’m with a real grown woman who has gone through it all 10 times over and she makes me a better person.”
