Robert Allen confirms that Drake had no involvement in the murder of XXXTENTACION.

The attorneys for XXXTENTACION's murder suspects are working hard to plant seeds of doubt into the minds of the jury. It’s been nearly five years since the rapper was killed during a robbery that left the hip-hop community rattled. However, the trial began this month. The defense made numerous attempts to convey the possibility that Michael Boatwright, Trayvon Newsome, and Dedrick Williams did not commit the fatal robbery.

Part of the strategy is to pin the blame on other well-known rappers who’ve beefed with XXXTENTACION in the past. Drake, for instance, was brought up during the pre-trial when prosecutors and defense submitted their list of potential witnesses. Though there’s no evidence proving Drake’s involvement, the defense for Williams has brought up numerous internet conspiracy theories. However, the state’s witness confirmed that the Canadian rapper has nothing to do with the shooting, whether directly or indirectly.

Robert Allen Takes Stand In Trial Of XXXTENTACION Murder Suspects

Robert Allen, who copped a plea deal last year, testified and addressed rumors of Drake’s involvement. During his testimony, the prosecutors asked if he “even knows Drake,” to which he replied, “Not personally, no.” He also denied having any connection to Drake, knowing anyone from Toronto, or receiving payment to carry out a hit on XXXTENTACION. The prosecution then asked if he had a relationship with DJ Akademiks or Ski Mask The Slump God, which he also denied.

Unfortunately for Drake, he remains tied to the case after a judge allowed a motion to serve him a deposition subpoena. Following numerous attempts, the defense attorney for Williams finally got the green light to depose Drizzy. The rapper’s attorney responded in a motion filed over the weekend where he stated the papers weren't properly served. Then, he appeared before the judge to quash the deposition subpoena. He said there were missing pages in the papers that provided insufficient evidence attaching Drake to the murder of XXXTENTACION. "... Mr. Graham has nothing to do with this case, Mr. Graham is not listed in any report," he told the judge. However, the judge said they would have to work with the defense to work out a deposition time. We’ll keep you posted on anymore updates on the trial.
