Statik Selektah drops off the second single off his upcoming "8" album called "But You Don't Hear Me Tho," featuring The Lox & Mtume.

After announcing his 8th studio album, 8, back in May, Statik Selektah has been busy spending the past few months on the road with Joey Badass on the Everybody Tour with Logic, but before he heads overseas for the second leg of the tour next month, he’s getting back to the music for us first. Following up his first single with 2 Chainz & Wiz Khalifa back in July “Man Of The Hour,” the Shade 45 radio host decides to come through today as expected and share his second offering called “But You Don’t Hear Me Tho” featuring the Lox & James Mtume.

“This is classic hip hop music, for lovers of hip hop music. No gimmicks.” the Roc Nation DJ said along with the song’s announcement. “Very excited for this record, which celebrates how amazing this culture is... and when I say culture I'm not talking that shit y'all hash tagging lately!”

Staying right in lane with his sound, the Boston producer delivers a smooth & classical street cut that finds Jadakiss, Sheek Louch, & Styles P all laying down their respective verses, while veteran Soul & Funk group MTume help handling the groovy vibes. As he Statik said with the announcement, this song has a classic hip-hop sound & vibe, and that’s definitely #facts.

Dropping December 8th, the follow up to last year’s Statik KXNG tape with Kxng Crooked will serve as Statik’s first project under his new home with Roc Nation, and feature a slew of guest appearance, including 2 Chainz, Joey Bada$$, Run the Jewels, The LOX, Wale, Action Bronson, Black Thought, Raekwon, Freddie Gibbs, Westside Gunn, Conway and the late Sean Price, just to name a few.

Take a listen to the second single and share your thoughts on it (below). Record available now on iTunes.

Quotable Lyrics:

We used to the hallway fogged up smoking reefer
Yeah I went to school but KRS-One was the teacher
And April had to hustle hard to get fresh for Easter
Instead of celebrating Christ I beat the duece twice
