Shortly after reaching the 30,000 point milestone for his NBA career, Dirk Nowitzki told reporters, “I just had a Bud Light for the first time in a long time.”
Well, that single, celebratory Bud Light turned into 30,000 Bud Lights because Anheuser-Busch heard Dirk's quote and delivered a shit load of beer to the American Airlines Arena in Dallas last night with a message that read,
“Dear Dirk, Congrats on the 30,000 points,” it read. “Here’s 30,000 Bud Lights to share with your friends! Cheers, Bud Light.”
According to ESPN's Darren Rovell, Dirk and the Mavericks will be sharing those 30,000 brews with every 21+ fan at tonight's game.
