Many vets have been trying to stay relevant by working with young producers or adding a little bit of trap to their sound, but for their upcoming album, Cuzznz, Snoop and Daz have simply been exploring the possibilities within the G-funk sound, and the results couldn't be more pleasing.
A day before the album's release, the Long Beach duo has shared one last Cuzznz track, "N My Life Tyme," and it features another Dogg Pound OG in Kurupt. And the production is key here, too, as we've got a piece of futuristic bliss from Dam-Funk, who also produced Cuzznz' "Best Friend" and with whom Snoop dropped a joint album in late 2013.
The outer space vibes obviously bypass any era, but Snoop and Daz give the track a nostalgic '90s feel -- reminding us we rarely hear rapping this slick. Who's gonna be copping Cuzznz?
