Illangelo is a name you may recognize from his affiliation with The Weeknd. The Toronto producer is mainly known for his work with the r'n'b singer, having worked on tracks off The Weeknd's critically acclaimed mixtapes from House Of Balloons to Echoes Of Silence. Although his production work doesn't start and stop with The Weeknd it usually has to do with him: he's produced for Ricky Hil's "Nomads" (which features Abel), Drake's "Crew Love", Wiz Khalifa's "Remember You"...You get the idea.
The other day the producer decided to unleash a bunch of demos from the pre-House Of Balloons era, circa 2010. They're all available on his bandcamp for a name-your-price option. Following the release of his early demos, the 26-year old let go a new single featuring Rochelle Jordan, "What The Fuss", which has the dark and eerie production we've come to expect, which Rochelle provides her soft vocals.
We'll definitely be checking for the next move from Illangelo.
