Mass Appeal blessed us with a very dope posthumous collaboration between J Dilla and Nas a few weeks ago, titled "The Sickness." Since then J Dilla’s vocal album The Diary (which includes “The Sickness” as a bonus track on iTunes) dropped, and now we’ve got a colorful set of visuals for the collaboration.
Director Ruffmercy creates a collage-like aesthetic for the video, using different clips and images of Dilla in kaleidoscopic combinations and different colors. Illustrations appear intermittently to add additional movement to the trippy visuals. Nas gets similarly dripped in illustration layers.
