Chief Keef is back with Jeezy by his side on this latest release, "Understand Me," which may or may not make it on to his upcoming project, Finally Rich. Chief Keef's fast rise to the top of the hip-hop totem pole (at least when it comes to the new generation of artists) comes with a new sound, and it's a gritty, braggadocio sound, with a rawness that makes it feel genuine.
The "I Don't Like" rapper's viral fame and influence has translated into a major label deal, and while many parties showed interest in signing Keef, including his rapping partner on this very record, he ultimately signed with Interscope Records.
For this latest release, Chief Keef actually recalls his major hit, "I Don't Like," with an interpolation in the production, from producer Casa Di.
